Sand dunes

Palo Verde to Calipatria 80. Tough morning of riding. Up and down hills all morning gaining about 1000 ft of elevation. The hills were really steep and they're wind was in my face so it was slow go going. I thought I was in the desert before I was really in the desert today. I went through the North algodones dunes. It looked like desert you see in movies. It was freaking hot all day. I also went by the chocolate mountain navel reservation aerial gunnery range. For about five miles I had these crazy fighter jets flying all over the sky right above me. I ran of the road a few times trying to watch them. I left the ACA route today and started heading north There were no campgrounds in calipatria so my plan was to just find a park. As soon as I road in to the town it was apparent this is not the kind of town that is a good idea to sleep in a park. This whole town was pretty hood. I checked in to the only motel in town.  I have decided that I am not going to ride all the way to Emma's cuz I would have to go through a bunch of cities and that's a pain in the ass. So depending on there scheduled they will pick me up some time in the next few days. So there is a chance tomorrow might be my last day riding.
