Longest day thus far put up an 84. Getting closer to the the big C. Stated in Dolores co and ended in Blanding ut . Another georges day off riding. The first 40 mi of my ride were like the graph of y= sin x. Up and down never ending. The scenery has total changed since yesterday no more huge show covered mountains just rolling hills with an occasional bute. The temp has also significantly warmed up. My Sun glasses and bike shorts tans are coming in nicely. The flat tier trend continued today only one through. The main cause appears to be little pieces of wire that come from blown tires of semis. Real pain in my ass. I met two classic old timers when I stopped at a gas station for lunch. They were just sitting at a booth shooting the shit. First they were talking politics then they started raging on each other then every only else who was there. I was literally cracking up the whole time I was there. It turns out they were brothers by the name of Sublet. There ancestors were the ones every thing in WY including the chairlift in Jackson are named after. After they told me this they went on a rant about, how there ancestors blew all their money on booze and girls and if they had been smarter they would own half the west today. Meeting people like this is one of the great things about touring. When I got to Blanding pitched my tent then went to the grocery store. I have to stock up on food cuz for the next 125 mi there is one gas station that's it no stores no restaurant no nothing. Had a big dinner now in in my tent about to go to bed. I probably won't have service tomorrow so I doubt I'll be posting. Hope all is well for every one.
